Pet Pals Policy

Authorization and Information:
All of your contact information is required—phone numbers, email, etc. Your signed authorization to provide services and care is necessary for your protection and ours.

Emergency:
A local emergency contact is required who can be called in the event of an emergency with your home or pet—preferably with a key. Your vet information is needed in case of medical emergency. Otherwise, your pet will be taken to the Animal Emergency Clinic NE at Deerbrook.

Payment and Terms:
Prompt payment is due upon completion of an assignment. There is never a charge for cancellations, change of dates, plans, or early returns. However, if you return from a trip early and do not call us to cancel our visit and we show up for the call, you will be charged. Similarly, we ask that you call us if your return will be delayed.

Shared Responsibility:
Many people like to include neighbors, relatives and friends in the pet sitting duties. These well-intentioned actions cause much confusion during the assignment. The most common problems are overfeeding, unlocked doors, lost keys, or missing some feeding assignments altogether. Also, if we arrive to do the assignment, and someone is there and tells us it is not necessary for us to do the job, you will be charged for the trip. We advise you to make only one person responsible for the entire assignment.

Visiting Hours:
Unless arrangements are otherwise made, our normal visiting hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily. During a busy time, if you wish your pet visited later, we may be able to arrange your visit last.

Service Request:
You may telelphone or email us to request service. Please give us as much notice as possble. Always make sure we have confirmed your service request before leaving town.

We will try to call or email you the day before you leave. If you have not heard from us, please call to confirm plans.
